What is Public Immunity?

Public Immunity, founded by William “Billy” Turner and Asia Ashley in 2020, is a platform for self-expression and activism. Inspired by society, every piece will have it’s own identity. Simply put, no two pieces will be the same, nor will it be duplicated. EVER.

The goal with each collection will be to raise awareness and resources to tackle the chosen issue through wearable art. While themes will differ from exhibit to exhibit, visual commentary on culture itself will always be the focal point in addition to giving 15% of each purchase to corresponding organizations with similar missions.

As Public Immunity grows, we hope to engage with more artists, outcasts, organizations and anyone who understands the importance of moving in love, light and action for the betterment of all people.

Billy Turner

"The Visionary"

 

As the overall creative director and founder of Public Immunity, Billy Turner seeks to enact change through positivity and creativity. Being a hands on creative change agent, he created Public Immunity as a way to call attention to pertinent social issues surrounding racial injustice. Billy has been a catalyst for change, speaking out on police brutality among other social injustices. Aside from his talent on the field, he has a passion for designing. By creating Public Immunity, he has made room for conversations that are long overdue, and he has done so by incorporating creativity and artistic expression. For Billy, it's about more than fashion but an opportunity to use his platform to truly make a difference.

 

Asia Ashley

"The Playmaker"

 

Every team needs a playmaker, and there's no better person for the job than Asia Ashley. While she primarily serves as Billy's Project Management Director, she puts her talents to work in many other ways. As a cofounder of Public Immunity, Asia has been alongside Billy in the creative process since the beginning. She oversees logistical tasks along with supervising the progress of the team as a whole. Asia has been a key player in Public Immunity's marketing, communication and promotional strategies. She has done extensive research on chosen social topics and constantly keeps it at the front of Public Immunity's initiatives. Aside from logistics, she consistently contributes in the creative process and assists each team member in their tasks.

 

Leticia Rosales

"The Architect"

Leticia Rosales is the assistant designer for Public Immunity. She takes the vision and makes it come to life. Leticia's role on the Public Immunity team is one of the most hands on and crucial roles. She helps construct pieces that will be showcased in the upcoming exhibitions. In short, she translates the ideas from concepts into tangible pieces of art. Her attention to detail goes far beyond fashion and designing. She is well versed and passionate about social justice and makes sure to incorporate it into each piece that she creates. Understanding the mission behind Public Immunity has allowed her to successfully create pieces that not only reflect Billy's vision, but also generate discussion about social justice.
